Tulip Silverstream

Efficiency and Resilience: Why Growers Choose Silverstream

For those managing commercial bulb production, the Silverstream Darwin Hybrid is a benchmark of reliability. The primary advantage of this cultivar in the field is its robust immune system. In environments where disease pressure is high, Silverstream stands out by offering natural resistance to Alternaria, Anthracnose, Fusarium wilt, and powdery mildew. This translates directly into lower operational costs, as the need for intensive chemical interventions is significantly reduced compared to more sensitive varieties.

Operational Performance and Crop Management

• Height and Structure: As a tall cultivar, Silverstream requires thoughtful site selection. Ensuring wind protection is essential to maintain the structural integrity of the stems and prevent lodging during heavy bloom periods.
• Blooming Cycle: Classified as mid-season, this hybrid provides a predictable harvest window. The vibrant red and yellow petals hold their color intensity well, meeting the aesthetic requirements of high-quality cut flower production.
• Maintenance: This variety is remarkably straightforward to manage. It responds predictably to standard fertilization and irrigation programs, making it an excellent 'workhorse' for large-scale operations.

Silverstream excels in maintaining high bulb yields without the need for specialized, labor-intensive care. Its genetic resistance to major fungal pathogens allows growers to minimize harvest losses and optimize output. By selecting this hybrid, you are investing in a low-risk, high-efficiency asset that maintains consistent quality across multiple seasons, even when environmental conditions fluctuate.
