Tulip Oxford

The Darwin Hybrid Standard: Why Professionals Choose «Oxford»

The «Oxford» tulip is a quintessential Darwin Hybrid, widely recognized as an industry benchmark for both commercial cut-flower production and professional landscaping. For growers, this variety represents the perfect balance between high-impact aesthetics and robust agronomic performance.

Genetic Resilience and Disease Management

In industrial scenarios, «Oxford» is highly regarded for its inherent resistance to common fungal pathogens. By integrating this variety into your rotation, you can significantly reduce the risks associated with:

• Downy mildew (Peronospora);
• Phomopsis and Phoma leaf spots;
• Tulip rust.

This natural resistance translates into lower fungicide input costs, optimizing the overall profitability of your crop cycle without compromising plant health.

Practical Deployment Scenarios

With its tall, sturdy stems, «Oxford» is engineered for specific professional applications:

• Commercial Forcing: As a mid-season bloomer, it is ideal for precision scheduling to meet seasonal market demand. The vibrant red petals maintain structural integrity during cold-chain transport, ensuring that high quality reaches the end consumer.
• Landscape Development: Its height and uniformity make it the go-to choice for massive flower beds and municipal park installations. The variety shows excellent environmental adaptability, remaining decorative even during fluctuating spring weather conditions.

For optimal results, prioritize balanced nutrient management during the active growth phase to support its characteristic height. Whether you are managing greenhouse forcing or open-field cultivation, «Oxford» provides the consistency required for high-yield operations.
