The tree peony variety Kuindzhi is a spreading bush with a height of 1.0 to 1.5 meters, featuring narrow green leaves of medium length. The flowers of this variety are simple, bowl-shaped, and have a diameter of 12 to 20 cm, predominantly yellow in color with a characteristic black spot at the base of the outer petals. The staminal filaments are red, the anthers are yellow, and the stamino-dial disc of the open form is red with a yellow stigma. Blooming occurs in mid-June, is of short duration but abundant, and the flowers possess a delicate and sweet aroma. The Kuindzhi variety belongs to semi-double peonies and is characterized by high winter hardiness, allowing it to be cultivated in various climatic conditions, including the central region and southern areas of Russia. The plant is resistant to diseases and pests, although waterlogging of the soil and low temperatures can contribute to the development of gray mold. Thanks to these characteristics, the Kuindzhi peony is recommended for greening and decorative cultivation in gardens and parks. The peony has a closed root system, which facilitates planting and care for the plant. Rapid bud opening and bright yellow flowering make this variety attractive to enthusiasts of decorative crops. Despite the short flowering period, the abundant flowering and expressive appearance make the Kuindzhi peony an excellent choice for creating bright floral compositions and landscape decoration.
