Tulip Odia

Why «Odia» is the choice for unpredictable climates

The «Odia» Greigii tulip is a stark contrast to classic Dutch hybrids, prioritizing natural resilience over sheer height. While most decorative cultivars require greenhouse-like conditions and frequent fungicide applications, «Odia» displays a genetic resistance to pathogens that is remarkably rare for this class.

Health without heavy chemical use

The key advantage of this variety is its robust immune system. While traditional tulips often succumb to fungal pressures, this hybrid successfully resists:

• Anthracnose and downy mildew, the primary threats during wet spring seasons.
• Powdery mildew, allowing the foliage to remain healthy until the end of the growth cycle.
• Bacteriosis, which is usually fatal for bulbs in waterlogged soil.

Visual aesthetics and landscape application

The low-growing, compact habit of «Odia» makes it an excellent candidate for the front of flower beds, rock gardens, and container planting. The striking blend of red and lilac tones in the petals creates a vivid color play in direct sunlight. Blooming in the mid-season, it serves as a perfect bridge between early botanical tulips and late-blooming double varieties.

Who should choose «Odia»?

This variety is designed for gardeners who value predictability. If you want to avoid weekly spraying or live in a region with volatile, rainy spring weather, «Odia» is a secure investment for your garden collection. Its only limitation is its height: if you are looking for long stems for cut bouquets, this variety will be too short. However, for borders, landscape clusters, and ground-level displays, it is one of the most reliable options currently on the market.
