Tulip Showtime

Operational Advantages of the 'Showtime' Tulip

The Greigii tulip 'Showtime' is a top-tier choice for those who value efficiency in landscape maintenance. Standing as a low-growing variety, it requires no staking or support structures, saving significant labor time during the peak season. Its stems are robust and weather-resistant, making it a reliable performer even in exposed garden locations or rockeries.

Disease Resistance and Maintenance

For any grower, disease management is the largest overhead. 'Showtime' is bred for high tolerance, showing remarkable resistance to common fungal threats such as downy mildew, cladosporium, and powdery mildew. It also demonstrates strong resistance to the cucumber mosaic virus. For an operator, this translates to fewer chemical interventions, lower fungicide costs, and a more sustainable workflow.

• Flowering Time: Mid-season, ensuring predictable scheduling for displays.
• Visual Performance: Intense, vibrant red petals that hold their color well.
• Maintenance: Requires minimal intervention; handles standard soil conditions with excellent drainage.

The planting density for 'Showtime' allows for compact, high-impact displays. Its ability to tolerate standard maintenance practices makes it an excellent candidate for both mass-scale landscaping and professional forcing. Whether you are managing public parks or private estates, this variety delivers consistent results with reduced risk of crop loss.
