Tulip Markies

A Benchmark for Reliability in the Triumph Class

The Marquies tulip has established a strong presence in the commercial floriculture market, serving as a classic example of the Triumph group. Its introduction addressed a key demand from professional greenhouses: developing a flower that balances aesthetic impact with high production efficiency.

Agronomic Potential and Resilience

The primary feature setting Marquies apart from its competitors is its robust immunity to soil-borne pathogens. In greenhouse environments, where the risk of fungal infection is significant, this variety shows exceptional resistance to Fusarium and Verticillium wilt. This characteristic effectively reduces the need for frequent fungicide applications and minimizes crop losses during forcing.

• Type: Triumph class, known for its large, classic goblet-shaped bloom.
• Color Profile: A vivid red hue that maintains its intensity throughout the various stages of bud opening.
• Blooming Period: A mid-season blooming hybrid, allowing growers to effectively sequence supply after early-maturing varieties.
• Structure: Medium stem height provides ideal ergonomics for cutting and bouquet arrangement.

Due to its sturdy stem and long vase life, the Marquies variety is highly sought after for both retail chains and professional floristry. It is the preferred choice for producers who prioritize predictable yields and consistently high-quality floral output.
