Tulip Mountain High

Genetic Resilience and Disease Control

The «Mountain High» tulip belongs to the Triumph class, a benchmark for industrial floriculture due to its dense flower structure and high productivity. A standout technical feature of this hybrid is its targeted resistance to soil-borne pathogens. The genetic profile specifically enhances tolerance against Verticillium and Fusarium wilt—two critical factors that threaten yield during high-density indoor cultivation where fungal pressure is constant.

Technical Performance and Morphology

• Classification: Triumph class. The robust petal tissue maintains the iconic tulip shape even under fluctuating temperature regimes.
• Growth habit: Medium height. The stem length is calibrated for machine-harvesting efficiency, ensuring minimal waste during post-harvest processing.
• Phenology: Mid-season flowering. This ensures optimal timing for peak market demand following earlier varieties.
• Visual integrity: Saturated red pigmentation. The color remains stable and resistant to fading under intensive greenhouse lighting conditions.

The engineering of this hybrid focuses on bulb vitality. By inherently resisting fusarium and verticillium wilt, the variety reduces the dependency on frequent fungicidal applications throughout the forcing period. This not only lowers the cost of production per stem but also guarantees a higher percentage of marketable flowers. The uniform habit and structural integrity of the stems prevent lodging, ensuring consistent crop performance for large-scale agricultural operations.
