Tulip Grand Perfection

Professional choice for commercial tulip forcing

The 'Grand Perfection' tulip, belonging to the Triumph class, is a staple for professional greenhouses focused on consistent production quality. For growers, this variety is synonymous with stability, particularly in environments where disease pressure can compromise yields.

Why it works in production

• Disease resistance: A standout feature of this variety is its genetic defense against common, costly pathogens: Verticillium wilt, Fusarium wilt, Tobacco mosaic virus, and Cladosporium. This significantly reduces the need for heavy fungicide application and prevents mid-season crop loss.
• Post-harvest durability: 'Grand Perfection' is noted for its ability to withstand transport. Its sturdy stems and tight, classic red buds hold up well during distribution, ensuring they reach retail shelves in optimal condition.
• Marketability: The classic red color is perennial in demand. By selecting this cultivar, growers can count on uniform blooming cycles, simplifying the harvest and logistics planning for peak spring dates.

When incorporating 'Grand Perfection' into your rotation, focus on maintaining precise temperature controls during the rooting phase to fully leverage its vigor. It is an ideal variety for operations looking to reduce waste, improve labor efficiency during grading, and ensure a higher percentage of premium-grade stems for sale.
