Tulip Mahra

Stability and Aesthetics: The Triumph Standard

The 'Mahra' tulip holds a solid position in the mid-season market, embodying the classic characteristics of the Triumph class. This cultivar was developed to provide commercial growers with a dependable flower that balances visual elegance with robust vitality under intensive cultivation conditions.

Biological Resilience and Phytosanitary Profile

The core strength of the Mahra variety lies in its genetic resistance. Unlike many ornamental varieties, Mahra exhibits significant immunity to major bulb pathogens, ensuring a stable yield:

• High resistance to anthracnose, protecting crops during periods of high soil humidity.
• Strong tolerance to Fusarium wilt, maintaining root system health throughout the entire growing season.
• Resistance to powdery mildew, which reduces the necessity for heavy fungicide interventions in both greenhouses and open fields.

Market Positioning and Cultivation

With an ideal stem height and a vibrant pink petal tone, this tulip is highly sought after for professional floral production. Mahra fits perfectly into spring assortments, offering a favorable balance between rapid development and optimal bud density. Its low-maintenance nature makes it equally viable for high-tech greenhouse operations and field production, consistently delivering a high percentage of marketable, premium-quality flowers.
