Tulip Gabriella

Technical Profile of the 'Gabriella' Tulip

Belonging to the 'Triumph' class, 'Gabriella' represents an industrial standard for professional forcing. Its technical value lies in a balanced genetic architecture that ensures high adaptability to both greenhouse and open-field environments. The uniform growth habit and predictable development cycle make it a reliable asset for commercial flower production.

Phytopathological Resilience

A key feature of this hybrid is its resistance to a complex of pathogens common in intensive crop rotation cycles. Resistance to Fusarium wilt is achieved through a dense basal plate structure, which limits mycelial penetration. The breeding focus has also secured protection against:

• Alternaria: Suppression of primary infection in high-humidity conditions.
• Anthracnose: High integrity of vegetative mass during temperature fluctuations.
• Powdery mildew: Reduced risk of foliage and peduncle degradation.

Agronomic Performance

The medium-height stature of the plant is optimized for high-density planting schemes. As a mid-season flowering variety, 'Gabriella' allows for precise logistics in cut flower production. The soft pink hue of the petals, combined with a classic goblet-shaped bloom, meets the demands of premium floristry. The high tissue density of the petals ensures excellent transportability and a prolonged vase life, which is essential for maintaining product quality through the supply chain.
