Tulip Inimitable

Premium choice for late-season production

The 'Inimitablo' lily-flowered tulip is designed for growers who prioritize aesthetic appeal alongside commercial durability. Its unique, lily-like petal shape and bright yellow color make it a staple for premium floral arrangements. Because this is a late-blooming variety, it offers a tactical advantage for farms looking to extend their selling season well after early-flowering tulips have cleared the market.

Genetic resilience in the field

Managing disease is the most significant hurdle in bulb production. 'Inimitablo' is recognized for its robust defense system, reducing the need for aggressive chemical interventions. The variety shows strong resistance to:

• Fusarium and Verticillium wilts, significantly lowering mortality rates in both soil and container-based systems.
• Tomato mosaic virus and Tomato spotted wilt virus (TSWV), which is particularly beneficial for multi-crop farms where cross-contamination could otherwise jeopardize yields.

Operational benefits and management

For the grower, 'Inimitablo' translates into a more predictable harvest. Its tall stature requires careful management in open-field conditions, specifically protection from heavy winds to maintain stem integrity. In greenhouse environments, the variety responds well to standard feeding regimes, consistently producing uniform, high-quality blooms. Given its late-season maturity, it serves as an excellent tool for scheduling staggered production, ensuring a steady supply of top-tier flowers for florists and wholesalers during the final weeks of the tulip window.
