Tulip Exotic Sun

A Sunny Accent in the 'Exotic' Collection

The 'Exotic Sun' tulip holds a distinct position in the ornamental horticulture segment, standing out among varieties with unconventional bud structures. As a member of the 'Special' tulip class, this cultivar is the result of rigorous breeding aimed at developing a resilient, tall-growing plant suitable for both cut flower production and professional landscape design.

Agronomic Advantages

Unlike many spectacular yet finicky novelties, 'Exotic Sun' demonstrates impressive resistance to a range of dangerous fungal and viral pathogens. Breeders have achieved a high resistance threshold against:

• Verticillium wilt;
• Fusarium wilt;
• Tomato mosaic virus;
• Cladosporiosis.

This makes the variety highly predictable for both greenhouse and open-field cultivation. Its tall stems ensure ease of handling for commercial bouquets, while the intense, vibrant yellow hue of the petals retains its freshness throughout a prolonged mid-season flowering period.

Market Positioning

Professional florists favor 'Exotic Sun' for its dense petal texture and excellent transportability. Stable market demand is driven by its reputation as a reliable performer that rarely 'drops' buds during temperature fluctuations. It remains an ideal choice for growers seeking a balance between exotic aesthetics and commercial reliability, significantly reducing the risk of crop loss from common soil-borne infections.
