Tulip Isabella

Reliability in focus: growing the Isabella tulip

For professional flower growers and greenhouse operators, choosing the Isabella variety means prioritizing predictable results. This Triumph tulip has established itself as a reliable asset, capable of withstanding intense forcing schedules without requiring excessive expenditure on disease prevention.

Operational advantages

The primary feature noted by operators is high resistance. The crop demonstrates excellent tolerance to gray mold, which is critical given the high planting density and humidity typical of greenhouses. Furthermore, the variety is not prone to common floricultural pathogens such as oidium and downy mildew, which significantly simplifies the crop protection schedule and reduces fungicide consumption.

Agrotechnics and bloom cycle

Isabella belongs to the mid-season bloom group. In terms of harvest logistics, this offers optimal timing: the flowers mature uniformly, minimizing the number of passes through the rows and simplifying sorting. The stem height is medium, ensuring resistance to lodging, while the bud structure is ideal for both automated and semi-automated cutting.

• Color profile: a delicate combination of pink and white, highly sought after in the retail market.
• Maintenance: minimal intervention required in bud development, predictable response to temperature adjustments.
• Profitability: the variety shows negligible culling due to disease, saving costs on bulb waste management.

If you are looking for a tulip that avoids unnecessary complexity while consistently delivering a premium cut in mid-season, Isabella is the optimal choice for your production cycle.
