Tulip Flash Point

Why Flash Point is the Professional's Choice

Among early-flowering double tulips, Flash Point occupies a unique niche. This variety does not aim to be the season's first, but it guarantees to become the focal point at the peak of flowering thanks to its dense texture and vibrant color. Unlike many early double hybrids that often suffer from loose, shapeless buds, this tulip possesses a distinctive peony-like structure that maintains its ornamental value even under volatile spring weather conditions.

Health as a Key Asset

Growers value this variety for its reliability. A major challenge in tulip cultivation is vulnerability to fungal pathogens. Flash Point stands out with its comprehensive resistance to a wide range of diseases:

• Verticillium wilt and Sclerotinia: significantly reduced risks of root system rot.
• Downy mildew: strong resistance in high-humidity conditions.
• Phomopsis and Phoma: robust protection for the stem and bulb against aggressive soil fungi.

This resistance allows for fewer fungicide applications, which is critical for cost-efficiency and adhering to ecological standards.

Visual Profile and Application Strategy

The color palette of this variety is a deep, electric red that pops vividly against foliage. Its medium stem height makes it an ideal candidate for greenhouse forcing and mid-tier landscaping, where resistance to lodging is essential. This is not a fragile specimen, but a sturdy plant capable of withstanding spring winds without losing its commercial appearance. It is an optimal choice for professional cut-flower producers and landscape architects seeking a low-maintenance, high-performance variety.
