Tulip Florette

Why «Florette» is a Professional's Choice for the Late Season

The «Florette» tulip belongs to the single late tulip class and occupies a special niche in both commercial and hobby floriculture. Its defining feature is a striking two-tone petal coloration, combining deep red hues with vibrant yellow, making it a recognizable focal point in any spring landscape.

Agrotechnical Advantages

Unlike many other late-blooming varieties, this hybrid demonstrates remarkable resistance to key pathogens that threaten bulbous crops. A high level of tolerance to root rot, downy mildew, and powdery mildew significantly reduces the need for frequent fungicide applications, which is critical for producing high-quality cut flowers and ensuring the longevity of garden beds.

• Stability: The medium height of the flower stalk makes the variety suitable for both park landscaping and commercial production in greenhouses or open fields.
• Biological Defense: Its genetic resistance to fungal infections makes it less demanding regarding strict crop rotation protocols.
• Aesthetics: The firm bloom and sturdy stem retain their ornamental qualities even under the challenging weather conditions of late spring.

«Florette» is an optimal choice for gardeners seeking a balance between spectacular appearance and ease of maintenance. While this variety does not require specialized cultivation techniques, it reaches its full potential when grown in well-drained, neutral-pH soils. Due to its late blooming schedule, it is perfect for completing the “tulip conveyor,” extending the vivid color season in the garden long after earlier varieties have faded.
