Lily ALTAIAN SPOKED LILY

Working with the Altai Spotted Lily

When working with Asiatic hybrids, the goal is always to balance aesthetics with low maintenance. The "Altai Spotted" variety from FANZA is a case where the predictability of the outcome outweighs any cultivation chores.

Cultivation and Performance

Unlike fussy Oriental hybrids, this variety demonstrates remarkable resilience. With a height of 60–90 cm, it works well both as a centerpiece in flower beds or in the foreground, depending on your layout. The stems are robust and do not require staking, which saves significant labor during mass planting. The cup-shaped flowers maintain their structure even after heavy rains; the petals don't turn mushy, keeping their commercial quality intact.

Flowering Highlights

• Color: A saturated yellow tone with distinctive spots that add depth to the bloom.
• Utility: Perfect for cutting, lasting up to two weeks in a vase if the water is refreshed every three days.
• Maintenance: Minimal. Standard seasonal fertilization and deadheading are enough to keep the bulb healthy.

The "Altai Spotted" is an ideal choice for growers who value stability. It doesn't demand soil modification and is forgiving regarding irrigation schedules. If you are looking for a reliable performer with vivid color that is guaranteed to bloom without constant micro-management, this selection from FANZA is a solid investment of time and effort.
