Tulip Largo

Stability and Aesthetics in Commercial Floriculture

The Largo tulip variety belongs to the early double tulip class. For agricultural businesses, this ensures a predictable growth cycle and high marketability during the spring season. Due to its medium stem height, the variety fits perfectly into standard cutting requirements without the need for specific supports or growth regulators under standard agricultural practices.

Phytosanitary Resistance as a Tool for Cost Reduction

The main value of Largo for greenhouse operations and open-field cultivation is its pronounced resistance to key pathogens. Its resistance to powdery mildew, fusarium wilt, and anthracnose allows for a reduction in the number of fungicide applications. In conditions of high humidity common in dense plantings, the risk of losing marketable yield due to fungal infections is minimized.

Usage Scenarios

• Forced Cut Flower Production: Thanks to the vibrant red color of its petals, Largo is highly sought after for spring holidays. The dense bud retains its decorative quality for a long time during transport.
• Landscape Design: The mid-season bloom allows it to be used as an accent plant in mixed flowerbeds that require resistance to temperature fluctuations.
• Regional Production: The variety shows stable performance when grown in temperate climates, making it a reliable choice for farmers targeting the mass market.

Choosing this variety is justified for those who seek a balance between the aesthetic appeal of a red double flower and minimal operational costs for crop protection.
