Tulip Fabio

Striking Fringed Petals for Your Garden

The 'Fabio' tulip variety is a choice for those who value both aesthetics and predictable results. As a garden operator, you get a reliable, medium-height stem, which significantly simplifies maintenance: the plant does not require heavy staking and holds its form well, even in gusty winds. Using 'Fabio' in landscape design minimizes the risk of stem breakage, which is critical for open-field operations.

Performance and Resilience

The main strength of 'Fabio' is its robustness in open-ground conditions. The variety possesses genetic resistance that is highly valuable for decorative crops:

• Complete tolerance to potato wart and virus Y;
• High immunity to late blight;
• Resistance to common scab.

For an agronomist, this means a sharp reduction in fungicide costs. You won't have to constantly monitor soil conditions or fear disease transmission from neighboring crops. The plant is forgiving of minor agrotechnical errors, maintaining its commercial appearance even under minimal supervision.

Visual Appeal

Its mid-season blooming window allows for efficient workload distribution. The petals combine deep red and noble lilac hues, while the fringed edge gives the bud a sense of volume that looks excellent both as a cut flower and in mass plantings. 'Fabio' does not require complex fertilization — a standard care schedule ensures stable, high-quality blooms without the risk of degeneration.
