Tulip Palmares

Elegance in Fringed Form

The 'Palmares' tulip is a distinguished representative of the fringed class, celebrated for its striking color palette and intricate petal texture. Chosen by landscape designers and professional growers alike, this variety brings a sophisticated, ornamental touch to any spring garden. Its reputation is built on its ability to combine traditional tulip charm with the modern, decorative flair of its signature fringed edges.

Agronomic Strengths and Protection

As a mid-season bloomer, 'Palmares' fits perfectly into garden schedules, bridging the gap between early and late-spring displays. Its moderate height provides excellent structural integrity, making it resistant to wind and weather damage. Beyond aesthetics, the variety is valued for its robust health, significantly reducing the need for intensive chemical care.

Key advantages include:

• High resistance to downy mildew (peronosporosis).
• Natural defense mechanisms against fungal diseases such as phomopsis and phoma, ensuring consistent performance in various soil conditions.

Visual Profile

The visual impact of 'Palmares' lies in its deep, rich coloration—a sophisticated blend of violet and red tones. The delicate, needle-like fringe along the petal margins catches the light, creating a unique visual texture reminiscent of frosted lace. These qualities make it an ideal choice for both monochromatic mass plantings and as a bold focal point within mixed flower beds.
