Tulip Double Punky

Working with Double Punky

Choosing Double Punky is a strategic decision for farms focusing on late-season cut flowers. As a late double tulip, this cultivar features a convenient average height, making it highly efficient for mechanized or manual harvesting. The stem is robust and stands firmly, requiring no additional support structures, which reduces labor costs during the intensive growth phase.

Phytosanitary management

The standout characteristic of this hybrid is its proven tolerance to Fusarium and Fusarium wilt. For an agronomist, this translates to reduced operational overhead: you can optimize your fungicide spray schedule and focus on preventative maintenance rather than corrective measures. Double Punky responds well to standard feeding protocols, showing excellent uniformity. Provided you follow standard bulb disinfection procedures prior to planting, the risks of soil-borne disease are significantly mitigated.

Market quality and logistics

Because it is a late-blooming variety, it effectively extends the selling season. The pink, densely petaled blooms offer excellent durability during transport.
