The Havskaya Anniversary astrea represents a variety of Chinese callistephus belonging to the ray-flowered asters group. This annual plant forms a compact, branched, and wide bush about 60 cm high. The plant's peduncles are sturdy, up to 40 cm long, bearing densely double, semi-spherical inflorescences about 11 cm in diameter. The ray florets are narrow, rolled into a tube, and pure white, giving the variety special decorativeness and effectiveness.
This variety is distinguished by high resistance to fusarium and other diseases, ensuring its reliability when grown in various climatic conditions. Thanks to large and bright flowers, Havskaya Anniversary aster is widely used for decorating flower beds and creating bouquets, making it a popular choice among gardeners and florists. The variety was bred by the Voronezh Vegetable Experimental Station and included in the Russian Federation's state register.
For successful cultivation of Havskaya Anniversary aster, it is recommended to choose open sunny or slightly shaded areas with fertile, well-aerated, and well-drained soil. The plant is not demanding in care, but regular watering, fertilizing, soil loosening, and disease prevention are necessary to maintain the bush's decorativeness and health. Thanks to the prolonged flowering period and variety of inflorescence forms, this variety allows creating exquisite floral compositions on a garden plot.
