Tulip Maywonder

Late-season aesthetics: why professionals choose «Maunder»

Among late-flowering double tulips, the «Maunder» variety stands out for its architectural structure and bud density. Unlike many varieties in this class that lose their decorative appeal after the first spring rain, this hybrid demonstrates impressive resistance to lodging and common pathogens.

Health as a Key Priority

The main advantage of «Maunder» is its genetic resistance to a complex of diseases that often devastate late-blooming crops. It is highly resistant to root rot, downy mildew, and powdery mildew. This makes it a reliable workhorse for growers who prioritize crop safety over high-maintenance exotic varieties.

• Type: Double late tulip.
• Palette: Deep, saturated pink hue.
• Height: Medium-sized, ideal for cut flowers and forcing.

Who is this variety for?

If you are looking for reliable material for commercial cultivation or want a lush, guaranteed flower bed at the end of the season, «Maunder» is an excellent solution. Its strength lies in the balance between resilience and a classic 'peony-like' form. A minor note: due to the density of the petals, the variety requires moisture control during peak flowering to prevent water accumulation inside the bud.
