Aster VALKYRIA SHAMO

Sturdy Beauties for Your Flower Bed

In the world of professional floriculture, the «Valkyrie Chamois» (Valkiriya Shamoa) variety from the «Biotechnika» association occupies a top-tier position among annual asters. If you are looking for a crop that doesn't require meticulous maintenance but delivers magazine-quality results, this variety is an excellent investment. Growing to a height of 50–80 cm, the plant forms a stable structure for garden beds, standing tall without the need for constant staking unless planted too densely.

Flowering and Cut Flower Performance

The standout feature of this variety is its massive, semi-spherical flower, reaching 10–15 cm in diameter. The creamy-white, subtle coloration gives your garden a refined and elegant aesthetic. When managing this variety, keep these tips in mind:

• Moisture Control: These asters prefer moderately moist soil. Overwatering invites root rot, while drought significantly shrinks the bloom size.
• Cut Flower Value: This is one of the best asters for commercial cutting. The stems are robust enough to support the weight of the large bloom, and the flowers hold their freshness in a vase longer than most competitors.
• Seasonal Cycle: Remember, this is an annual. There is no need to worry about winterizing; simply clear the area after the first frost.

«Valkyrie Chamois» is quite forgiving to beginners, but it truly excels when deadheaded regularly. Removing faded blooms stimulates the plant to produce new buds, extending your floral season well into the cooler months. It requires standard annual aster care—consistent feeding and proper soil preparation are all you need to maintain a dense, stunning display or a reliable supply of high-quality cut flowers.
