Tulip BABY GARDEN

Elegant Classics of Russian Selection

The «Detskiy SAD» tulip is the result of long-term development by the Agro-Industrial Society Taitsy and the Komarov Botanical Institute. Unlike many modern Dutch hybrids, this cultivar is highly adapted to temperate climates, making its cultivation predictable and reliable. Its main advantage is the perfect balance between a classic goblet shape and a soft pink color that is more resistant to sun fading than many imported analogs.

Technical Specifications and Application

• The stem height of 55–65 cm provides excellent vertical stability, which is essential for cut flower production.
• The 6–8 cm flower head size ensures a proportionate, elegant look in bouquets without overwhelming the arrangement.
• A moderate fragrance makes this variety suitable for professional floristry, as it does not cause discomfort in indoor settings.

This variety is an excellent choice for both commercial greenhouses targeting regional markets and private growers looking for reliable, field-tested decorative material. Unlike fast-growing industrial hybrids, «Detskiy SAD» maintains its bud integrity well after cutting, offering a superior shelf life. It is the optimal choice for those who prioritize the stability and frost resistance of Russian breeding.

Strengths and Considerations

The primary strength of this variety lies in its stability and cultivar purity; it performs predictably during forcing. One consideration for growers is its moderate propagation rate compared to high-intensity hybrids, meaning careful attention to soil quality and crop rotation is advised. It is an ideal option for those seeking a soft pink aesthetic combined with proven resilience.
