Tulip Adamo

Working with the Adamo Tulip

The Adamo tulip, part of the Triumph group, is a workhorse for professional growers. As a mid-season bloomer, it is designed for efficiency and ease of management. The plant reaches a medium height, featuring a sturdy, upright stem that resists lodging even in adverse greenhouse conditions. This structural reliability eliminates the need for manual support systems, cutting down on maintenance labor and equipment costs.

Disease Resilience and Maintenance

The primary advantage of Adamo is its robust resistance profile. This significantly lowers the budget for fungicides and reduces crop management stress:

• Complete resistance to yellow rust and brown wheat rust;
• High tolerance to Septoria;
• Resilience against powdery mildew and Fusarium wilt (crown rot).

By minimizing the need for chemical interventions, you save on operational expenses while maintaining a healthy, high-quality crop. The bulbs are stable in storage, provided that standard temperature protocols are followed.

Visual Impact and Marketability

The vibrant red color of the Adamo blooms remains consistent throughout the entire flowering cycle. Its classic goblet shape is remarkably durable, making it an excellent candidate for transport and retail. From an operator's perspective, Adamo is highly predictable. It responds uniformly to temperature adjustments in the greenhouse, providing the control necessary to time harvests precisely for peak market demand.
