Poltavskoye winter triticale is a medium-maturing variety recommended for cultivation in forest-steppe zones. Registered in 2009, it was developed by the Institute of Feed of the Ukrainian Academy of Agricultural Sciences and the Institute of Feed and Agriculture of Podillya NAAN. This variety is intended for grain and fodder use and is characterized by stable yields.
Poltavskoye is distinguished by high grain quality with protein content ranging from 13 to 15 %, making it valuable for feed and food production. Additionally, the variety has low levels of anti-nutritional substances, which improves the nutritional value and digestibility of the grain. High dry matter yield in green mass also contributes to its efficiency in feed production.
The variety undergoes qualification testing within the state variety testing system, confirming its reliability and adaptability to growing conditions. Triticale Poltavskoye is widely used in bread and other wheat-based product production due to its stability and grain quality.
