Triticale Strateg

Stable Yields Against Tough Phytosanitary Backgrounds

Winter triticale «Strateg» from the selection company VNIS is the choice for farms aiming for high feed or grain yields while minimizing operational risks. This variety is engineered for agronomists who prioritize reliability in volatile weather conditions and high disease pressure environments.

Field-Proven Advantages

The primary challenge "Strateg" solves in crop rotation is maintaining stable grain and biomass volumes in fields prone to fungal outbreaks. Unlike less resilient varieties, this triticale demonstrates robust resistance to:

• Wheat leaf rust;
• Septoria leaf blotch;
• Fusarium head blight;
• Powdery mildew.

This genetic resistance allows for significantly optimized fungicide application schedules. During periods of high humidity, when the risk of head blight spikes, "Strateg" retains its leaf surface and overall productivity, ensuring the grain test weight remains high.

Practical Applications for Your Farm

Producers utilize "Strateg" to achieve two major agricultural objectives:

• Feed Production: Thanks to its high protein content and excellent tillering capacity, this variety is ideal for producing high-nutrition fodder for livestock complexes.
• Performance on Marginal Soils: Triticale is inherently more robust than wheat, and "Strateg" maximizes the potential of even the less favorable fields, ensuring uniform stands where other crops might struggle.

When sowing, it is crucial to consider the variety's high tillering potential; maintaining recommended seed rates is vital to avoid overcrowding, which ensures the quality of the harvested grain. By sticking to established winter crop protocols, you gain a reliable variety that effectively meets grain supply demands across diverse climatic zones.
