Description ADM 4
Triticale is an artificial hybrid of wheat and rye, created to combine the best qualities of both crops. The name comes from the Latin words "Triticum" (wheat) and "Secale" (rye). This cereal crop is characterized by high yield, resistance to fungal diseases and pests, as well as adaptability to soil-climatic conditions. Varieties of triticale, including ADM 4, can be grown as winter or spring crops, expanding their application in agriculture.

Triticale grain has high biological value and contains significant amounts of macro- and microelements, such as copper, phosphorus, potassium, magnesium, calcium, sodium, zinc, manganese, and iron. In addition, it contains B-group vitamins (B9, B5, B1), as well as vitamins PP and E. Due to this, triticale grain does not fall short of wheat in nutritional value and can be used both in feed and food industries. It is used for producing flour, utilized in baking and confectionery, as well as in the alcohol industry and for obtaining starch and brewing malt.

The triticale crop is widely used for feeding animals and poultry, both as grain and green mass. Varieties such as ADM 4 have high productivity potential and a long period of use, making them effective for obtaining high-quality green feed. Triticale complements the green feed chain, providing feed during the intervals between winter cereal harvests and perennial grasses, which is especially important for maintaining stable feed supply in agriculture.
