AS201 is an early-maturing hybrid of sugar corn of the latest generation, characterized by rapid initial growth and a short vegetation period of about 125 days. The plant is tall and strong, with wide leaves and a long, thick cylindrical ear composed of multiple rows of yellow-orange dent kernels. The hybrid has high yield potential, averaging 70.6 c/ha and up to a maximum of 108.9 c/ha, significantly exceeding the level of standard varieties. The moisture content of the grain at harvest is approximately 30.8%, ensuring good product quality.

AS201 is adapted to various growing conditions, including arid regions, and tolerates high planting densities well. It is resistant to lodging, which enhances crop stability, and also exhibits high resistance to diseases such as stalk rot and ear Fusarium. The hybrid is recommended for cultivation across a wide range of regions in Russia, including Central, North Caucasus, Central Chernozem, Volga, Lower Volga, Ural, West Siberian, and Far Eastern regions.

Due to its characteristics, AS201 is suitable for both dry grain production and green biomass. Its rapid growth and high plant strength make it a versatile choice for farmers seeking high productivity and crop resilience.
