Triticale Ladne

Genetic Potential and Agronomic Adaptability

The «Ladne» winter triticale variety, developed by the V. Ya. Yuriev Plant Production Institute of NAAS, is engineered to balance high yield potential with stability under the climatic variability of Ukraine. Its core technical advantage lies in high tillering capacity and efficient spring moisture utilization.

Technical Specifications

• Lodging Resistance: As a short-straw variety, it provides excellent structural integrity even under high-intensity nitrogen fertilization, preventing crop loss caused by lodging.
• Disease Tolerance: The variety exhibits built-in resistance to snow mold and powdery mildew, which significantly reduces the pressure of early-season pathogens and lowers the necessity for intensive fungicide applications.
• Grain Quality: High test weight and a well-balanced amino acid profile make «Ladne» an ideal choice for both high-performance animal feed formulations and industrial processing.

Field data indicates that «Ladne» reacts favorably to intensification technologies while maintaining reliable performance under low-input management. For agronomists, this variety represents a tool to mitigate environmental risks, ensuring stable production consistency across diverse soil and climate types.
