Triticale Amphidiploid 44

Stability in Arid Conditions: The Amphidiploid 44 Advantage

Amphidiploid 44 is an winter triticale variety developed by the Yuriev Plant Production Institute, specifically engineered to withstand the challenging climatic conditions of Ukraine. Unlike traditional wheat varieties, this hybrid offers a unique blend of hardiness and productivity, making it a critical asset for agricultural stability.

Why Choose Amphidiploid 44?

• Superior Tillering Capacity: The plant forms a dense stand even under moisture stress, ensuring efficient land use.
• Soil Adaptability: It thrives on marginal soils where traditional cereals often fail, providing a consistent yield floor.
• Nutritional Value: High protein content and an excellent amino acid profile make it a premier choice for high-quality animal feed.

Strategic Fit for Farming

This variety is tailored for farms operating in high-risk zones. Its primary advantage is predictability; it is built to survive extreme heat and drought cycles. While Amphidiploid 44 is robust, it does require disciplined seeding management. Over-seeding can lead to excessive stand density, which may increase susceptibility to lodging under high-moisture scenarios. For producers aiming for a reliable feed grain supply with reduced input volatility, this variety remains a gold standard in Ukrainian breeding.
