Triticale Kharkivskaya Kripost

Spring Triticale "Kripost Kharkivska": Resilience in the Field

In the current volatile agricultural climate, selecting a crop that ensures consistent yields is critical. Developed by the V. Ya. Yuriev Plant Production Institute, "Kripost Kharkivska" is a spring triticale variety designed to perform reliably where winter crops may struggle, providing farmers with a robust solution for spring planting.

Disease Resistance as a Core Benefit

The standout characteristic of this variety is its inherent genetic resistance to leaf diseases. Unlike many commercial varieties that require heavy fungicide programs during stem elongation, "Kripost" shows significant resistance to Septoria. Additionally, it effectively combats Mycosphaerella and brown leaf spot, allowing farmers to optimize their pest management budgets without compromising grain quality or yield volume.

Key Agronomic Specifications

• Plant Height: 90–100 cm, ensuring a proper balance between biomass production and lodging resistance.
• Spring Type: Offers flexibility in crop rotation planning, making it an excellent candidate for re-seeding or spring-sown cereal programs.
• Regional Adaptation: Being a product of Ukrainian selection, the variety is specifically tuned to local soil and climatic fluctuations, including resilience against early-season drought.

Who should consider this variety? Agricultural enterprises focused on high-protein livestock feed and farmers seeking a reliable, low-maintenance grain crop. The "Kripost Kharkivska" variety is forgiving regarding application timing and maintains a healthy leaf canopy, protecting the yield potential until the harvest stage.
