Tomato Red Fantasy

Focus on Yield and Logistic Efficiency

For commercial tomato growers, "RED Fantasy" from Ergon International N.V is a robust solution designed to streamline the supply chain. This variety is chosen by farmers who prioritize high yield potential alongside the ability of the fruit to withstand long-distance transport without compromising shelf appeal.

With a yield potential of 160–190 tons, this seed variety excels under intensive farming practices. A maturity period of 90–100 days allows growers to strategically time their harvest to hit peak market demand, effectively avoiding the price volatility often associated with early-season oversupply.

Field Resistance and Crop Safety

Managing disease pressure is essential for industrial-scale cultivation. "RED Fantasy" offers strong genetic resistance to a range of critical pathogens, reducing the need for aggressive chemical interventions:

• Late blight (Phytophthora): minimizing losses during periods of high humidity.
• Potato cyst nematode and potato wart: providing a comprehensive defense for the root system and plant health.
• Leaf curl: ensuring consistent photosynthetic activity throughout the entire vegetative cycle.
• Common scab: protecting skin quality, which is crucial for meeting supermarket grading standards.

The fruit size of 80–100 grams is perfectly suited for standard consumer packaging. High fruit firmness guarantees excellent transportability, while a shelf life exceeding 30 days provides growers with the operational flexibility to manage stock effectively, ensuring better price realization during market fluctuations.
