Red Farmer is an early-maturing indeterminate cherry tomato hybrid intended for cultivation in protected ground. From germination to the start of fruiting, it takes 90-95 days. The plant is strong-growing with shortened internodes; the first flower cluster forms above the eighth leaf, and subsequent clusters appear every two leaves. The clusters are simple, dense, and attractive, containing 15-20 well-aligned, glossy, round orange fruits, each weighing about 15 grams.
The fruits have a very sweet flavor without acidity, a pleasant aroma, and fruity notes, making them excellent for fresh consumption. Additionally, the tomatoes are ideal for whole-fruit canning, drying, and sun-drying. They have good transportability and a long storage life, expanding their usability.
The hybrid is resistant to several diseases, including tobacco mosaic virus (ToMV), yellow leaf curl virus (TYLCV), gall nematodes (Mi, Ma), verticillium wilt, fusarium wilt, and foliar blight (Va, Vd, Fol). Recommended planting density is 3-4 plants per square meter when trained to 1-2 stems. The hybrid’s yield exceeds 15 kg per square meter, making it a profitable and reliable choice for gardeners.
