Red Knight F1

The sweet pepper Red Knight F1 is an early-maturing hybrid developed by the Dutch company Seminis. This variety is characterized by high resistance to stressful growing conditions, as well as to common viral and bacterial diseases, including potato Y virus and bacterial spot. The plant is vigorous, strong, with an open habit and abundant foliage, which effectively protects the fruits from sunburn. The hybrid successfully adapts to various conditions, allowing it to be grown both in open ground and in covered ground, including glass and plastic greenhouses, as well as temporary plastic covers. The fruits of the Red Knight F1 pepper have a cube-shaped form with 3-4 chambers, measuring approximately 11 by 11 cm and an average weight of about 300-310 grams. The fruit wall thickness is 8-9 mm, providing juicy, succulent flesh with high juice content and pleasant flavor. In the technical ripening stage, the fruits are dark green, turning bright red upon biological ripening. Due to the dense flesh structure and resistance to damage, the pepper maintains its market appearance during long-distance transport and prolonged storage. Red Knight F1 is suitable for a wide range of uses: it is excellent for fresh consumption, salad preparation, canning, and heat processing. Early maturity — 63-65 days after transplanting seedlings to the permanent location — allows for quick harvests. The high percentage of quality fruit yield makes this hybrid attractive for commercial cultivation and home gardening.
