Tomato Legion

Stable production for processing and market sales

The «Lehin» tomato is a time-tested variety from the Institute of Vegetable and Melon Growing of NAAS, recognized for its reliability in Ukrainian fields. As a determinate variety reaching 50-60 cm in height, it eliminates the need for complex trellising, significantly reducing labor costs and simplifying field maintenance.

Operational scenarios

The variety is primarily cultivated for canning factories and bulk market supplies. With a consistent cylindrical shape and a fruit weight of 60-80g, it is ideal for whole-fruit processing. The skin is firm enough to ensure excellent transportability, preventing damage during long-distance shipping and storage.

Agronomy and resistance

Maturing in 100-120 days, this variety is a workhorse of the mid-season. A key advantage for agronomists is its natural resilience. With genetic resistance to Fusarium and Verticillium wilt, farmers can significantly reduce the need for aggressive fungicide spraying, enabling a more sustainable and cost-effective crop protection program.

• Plant Type: Determinate (compact).
• Fruit: Cylindrical, bright red, firm.
• Resistance: Fusarium and Verticillium wilt.
• Efficiency: Low maintenance and high transportability.

If you need a predictable, low-maintenance variety that yields uniform fruits suitable for both pickling and fresh sales, «Lehin» remains one of the most balanced choices on the market.
