Tomato Pietra Rossa

Tomato Pietra Rossa F1 is a mid-early determinate hybrid developed by the French company Clause. The vegetation period is 115–120 days, allowing harvest from April until the end of autumn. The plant forms a compact bush 50–60 cm tall, requiring no pinching or staking, which simplifies care and enhances ease of cultivation. The hybrid is heat-tolerant and highly resistant to major diseases such as fusarium, verticillium wilt, bacterial spot, and meloidogyne, ensuring stable fruiting and high productivity.

The fruits of tomato Pietra Rossa have an oval, plum-like shape, deep red color, and average weight of 70–80 grams. They feature a dense structure, ensuring good transportability over long distances without damage. Sugar content (BRIX) ranges from 5.5–6.0%, imparting a pleasant taste and making the fruits especially attractive for fresh consumption. Fruits ripen simultaneously and detach easily from the stem, allowing for both manual and mechanized harvesting.

This tomato hybrid is suitable for cultivation in open ground and under plastic coverings, enabling an earlier harvest. Due to its characteristics, Pietra Rossa F1 is widely used in industrial production and is ideal for fresh salads and whole-fruit canning. Fruits retain their market qualities for up to a month, making this variety convenient for storage and marketing.
