Tomato IVANUSHKA

Focusing on Early Harvest and Efficiency

The 'Ivanushka' tomato variety from 'Sredi Tsvetov' is designed for farmers who prioritize early market entry and stable production cycles. As a determinate variety, it is perfectly suited for compact greenhouse setups or field cultivation, requiring minimal trellising and simplifying plant management.

Agronomic Highlights

Developed by originators Zhidkova V.A., Mihed V.S., and Shmakov I.S., this seed material offers consistent germination, essential for its 90-100 day maturation window. Key parameters for harvest planning include:

• Growth Habit: Determinate, allowing for optimized plant density per hectare.
• Fruit Weight: The variety offers flexibility, ranging from 80-100g for standard harvests to larger fruits exceeding 200g with proper nutrient management.
• Form and Color: Its attractive heart shape and vibrant red/pink tones ensure high marketability and consumer appeal.

Practical Applications in Farming

'Ivanushka' serves as a reliable asset for growers targeting early-season sales. Its rapid growth cycle allows for a significant harvest before the peak onset of late blight, effectively reducing the need for intensive fungicide application. Given the heart-shaped fruit, it is an excellent choice for both fresh market sales and processing into premium sauces or juices, where flesh density is a priority. The variety adapts well to diverse soil types, making it a versatile and practical choice for operations of various scales and technical configurations.
