RED HEART

Tomato variety "Red Heart" is a mid-early or mid-season variety with a maturation period of 85 to 115 days depending on growing conditions. Plants are tall, forming determinate or indeterminate bushes, which requires proper pruning and care. Fruits have a characteristic heart-shaped form with slight ribs and are colored in delicate pink or raspberry-pink. Average fruit weight ranges from 180 to 230 grams, with individual specimens reaching up to 400 grams. The flesh is juicy, medium density, with uniform structure and few seeds, making them especially attractive for salads and fresh consumption.

The variety is distinguished by excellent sweet taste and aroma, which is highly appreciated by gardeners and gourmets. Fruits set well even under adverse weather conditions, are resistant to cracking during rainy summers and overripening. Additionally, "Red Heart" is resistant to diseases such as alternaria leaf spot, cladosporiosis, and tobacco mosaic virus, which simplifies care and increases yield.

For successful cultivation, seeds should be sown in seedlings at the end of March to early April, planted 2-3 cm deep, undergo pinching in the 1-2 true leaf stage, and be regularly fed with complex mineral fertilizers. Seedlings are transplanted into open ground after frost threat, usually late May, following a planting scheme of 70x30-40 cm. The variety requires attentive watering and feeding, so it is better suited for experienced gardeners prepared to provide necessary agrotechnical conditions for obtaining tasty and large fruits.
