DE-FACTO

Tomato DE-FACTO is a medium-late indeterminate hybrid with a period from germination to fruiting of 116-120 days. The plant is characterized by strong growth and dense foliage, ensuring good development in polyethylene and glass greenhouses, as well as in open ground and low-volume hydroponics. Leaves are long, horizontally oriented, initially light green and corrugated, then turn bright green. A feature of the hybrid is the presence of bracts and a leaf instead of the first flower on each inflorescence, giving the inflorescences a simple and compact shape without bends. The first inflorescence forms above the 10-12th leaf, subsequent ones appear every three leaves.

The fruits of tomato DE-FACTO are flat-round, weighing 110-130 grams, with 4-6 chambers. At the beginning of ripening, they have a uniform light green color, which turns bright red upon ripening. Mature fruits are strong and transportable, making the hybrid suitable for commercial cultivation and marketing. Plants form as single stems with mandatory pinching, and require staking several days after transplanting. Yield per plant reaches 3.5-4 kg.

Hybrid DE-FACTO has high resistance to a range of diseases, including tobacco mosaic virus, cladosporiosis, and fusarium. Additionally, it is genetically resistant to cracking and blossom-end rot under high temperatures, ensuring stable yield quality in various climatic conditions. Due to heterozygosity for the "rin" gene, this hybrid is not recommended for very early planting, which should be considered when planning agronomic measures.
