Tomato MULAT B

Large-fruited pink tomato for open field cultivation

«Mulat B» is a result of collaboration between the Gavrish Breeding Company and the Russian Research Institute of Vegetable Breeding and Seed Production. This variety was developed to solve the classic problem of low-growing plants: producing heavy, market-quality fruits. Unlike many determinate varieties that yield small tomatoes, Mulat B consistently produces large, rounded pink fruits weighing over 200 grams.

Why it stands out

• Plant architecture: Its determinate growth habit makes it low-maintenance, ideal for those who prefer not to spend excessive time on pruning or complex trellising systems.
• Maturity timeline: With a maturation period of 100–120 days, it fits perfectly into the standard agricultural cycle of temperate zones.
• Fruit quality: The pink color indicates a higher sugar content and a classic, dessert-like flavor profile. Its significant mass makes it a top-tier choice for fresh market sales and home culinary use.

The main advantage of Mulat B is its versatility; it offers the professional quality of salad tomatoes in a plant structure that is easy to manage. It is perfectly suited for gardeners looking for maximum return on effort. A minor limitation to keep in mind: despite being a determinate variety, the plant requires staking. The fruits are heavy enough to cause the branches to sag or break under their own weight if left unsupported, so proper planning of the support system is essential for a successful harvest.
