BUTTON — an early-maturing determinate tomato variety reaching 50-60 cm in height and ideal for growing indoors, including in pots over 5 liters. The fruits are round, red, highly sweet and aromatic, weighing 10-15 grams. Due to its excellent taste, tomato BUTTON is widely used in home cooking, especially for salads and garnishes, and is suitable for children's and dietary diets.
For cultivation, use light, fertile soils. Good predecessors include cucumbers, cabbage, legumes, onions, and carrots. Sow seeds for seedlings in late March to early April at a depth of 2-3 cm, previously treating seeds with potassium permanganate solution and rinsing with clean water. Pinching is done at the stage of 1-2 true leaves, and seedlings are fed with complex fertilizer 2-3 times. Begin hardening off seedlings 7-10 days before transplanting.
Transplanting seedlings into open ground occurs when plants are 55-70 days old, after the threat of frost has passed, usually at the beginning of June, or mid-May if using temporary plastic covers. Recommended planting scheme is 50x40 or 70x30-40 cm. During the growing season, water plants regularly with warm water and feed them 2-3 times with complex mineral fertilizers, ensuring adequate nutrition and promoting healthy growth and fruiting.
