MALETS

Tomato "Malets" is a determinate variety with ultra-early or mid-early ripening, depending on growing conditions, allowing harvest as early as 55-95 days after germination. Compact plants, up to 50 cm tall, with simple clusters containing 6-10 fruits. Fruits are round or slightly oval, smooth and firm, weighing from 30 to 100 grams, with a rich red color when fully ripe. Medium-density flesh, oily, with a classic tomato flavor, making this variety suitable for fresh consumption and various processing methods including pickling, marinades, juices, sauces, and even drying. The "Malets" variety exhibits high resistance to major tomato diseases such as blossom end rot, verticillium wilt, fusarium wilt, and septoria. It also shows resistance to fruit cracking, cold- and heat-tolerance, ensuring stable fruiting even under challenging climatic conditions, including harsh Urals regions. Due to the absence of suckering requirements and healthy, clean foliage, care for the plants is simple and requires minimal effort. Yield is high and stable, reaching 50-55 tons per hectare with a commercial fruit output of up to 91%. Fruits are suitable for salad use, canning, and whole fruit preservation. Dry matter content in tomato juice is approximately 5.0%, and total sugar content is 3.1%, ensuring excellent taste quality for both fresh and processed products. Thus, tomato "Malets" is a reliable and versatile choice for open-field cultivation aimed at achieving early and high-quality harvests.
