Timothy Grass Ukrainka

Optimizing Forage Systems: The «Ukrainka» Timothy Grass

Productive grassland management begins with the right genetics. The «Ukrainka» timothy grass variety represents the collective expertise of the Central Institute of Innovative Agro-Technologies and the NSC «Institute of Agriculture of the NAAS». Designed specifically for forage production, this variety serves as a benchmark for reliable green mass and high-quality hay production within the Ukrainian agricultural sector.

Performance and Agricultural Profile

«Ukrainka» is classified as an intensive-use variety, engineered to respond effectively to modern agronomic practices. Unlike landrace populations, this cultivar provides uniform plant development, which is critical for efficient harvesting and consistent nutrient profiles. The research backing this variety, conducted by institutions such as the NSC «Institute of Agriculture», ensures that the seeds offered possess high biological potential.

• Forage Quality: Excellent balance of protein and structural carbohydrates, essential for high-performance dairy and livestock diets.
• Adaptation: Highly resilient to the continental climatic conditions of Ukraine, exhibiting good regrowth potential after mowing or grazing.
• Market Integration: Supported by seed production entities like Antaria, the variety maintains high varietal purity, ensuring predictability in the field.

A Proven Choice for Forage Stability

In a market filled with imported hybrids, «Ukrainka» stands out as a locally adapted solution that has stood the test of time. It is widely recognized by forage producers for its reliability in multi-cut systems. By incorporating «Ukrainka» into their forage strategy, farmers gain access to a well-researched variety that bridges the gap between scientific advancement and practical agricultural success. It is an essential asset for operations focusing on self-sufficiency and high-quality bulk feed production.
