Tagetes Gerkules

Majestic Tagetes for Formal Flower Beds

The 'Hercules' tagetes variety from Agrofirma Aelita represents a staple of Russian selection, specifically developed to satisfy the demand for tall, architectural accents in landscape design. Bred by a team of specialists including Natalia Nastenko, Vladimir Kachaynik, and Mikhail Gulkin, this variety holds a firm position in the market of tall annuals capable of maintaining a vertical presence throughout the entire season.

Agronomic Features and Application

Unlike low-growing bedding varieties, 'Hercules' grows to a height of 50–90 cm. This stature defines its function: the variety is ideal for the back of mixed borders and for creating dense, living hedges within a garden. Due to its robust stem structure, the plant does not sprawl under the weight of its blossoms, a vital trait for regions with unpredictable weather.

• Status: Varietal selection fully adapted to northern temperate climate zones.
• Purpose: Flower bed design, zoning, and use as a cut flower.
• Reputation: 'Hercules' is valued for its predictable growth and stable flowering, making it a reliable tool for both gardening hobbyists and professional landscapers.

Choosing this variety means opting for tested material from Aelita, where selection control ensures the plants meet their declared specifications. Its presence in the garden does more than provide aesthetic appeal; it serves a traditional phytosanitary function, naturally deterring pests from nearby vegetable crops.
