Description Sunbeam
Sunbeam is a low-growing annual variety of Mexican marigold that brings bright sunny hues to any garden corner. The plant reaches a height of about 25 cm and is distinguished by dense, deeply serrated glossy leaves that enhance the decorative value.

The flowers of the 'Sunbeam' variety are double yellow with delicately curled petals, creating an effect of bright radiance. They bloom from late spring until the end of the season, until frost sets in, and are capable of continuously adorning flower beds, borders, lawns, terraces, and balconies. Thanks to their characteristic scent, marigolds repel many pests, making them useful as protective plants next to more vulnerable species.

Sunbeam is easy to grow: prefers well-drained soil and sunny spots, but can also grow in moderate shade. The plant grows quickly but requires regular watering at the beginning of growth – otherwise leaves become flimsy, and flower heads become small. With excess moisture, flower heads may rot, so it is important to maintain optimal moisture levels. Marigolds are also suitable for growing in pots and boxes, where they decorate windows and rooms. Their drought tolerance makes them an ideal choice even in hot conditions, while spider mites can become a problem during prolonged rains.
