Tagetes ORANGE COVER

Russian breeding excellence: the «Orange Carpet» marigold

The «Orange Carpet» (Oranzhevyy Kover) marigold is a product of professional selection developed by the Federal Scientific Center for Vegetable Growing (FGBNU FNTsO). Officially registered and recognized, this variety stands out as a staple of low-growing Tagetes, widely utilized in both municipal landscaping and private garden design.

The variety was developed by experts at the Vegetable Experimental Station, including notable researchers E. A. Sytov and E. G. Kolesnikova. The core objective was to create a genetically stable cultivar with uniform height and intense bloom color, ensuring consistent performance throughout the growing season.

Key traits and landscape utility

• Architectural form: The plants reach a height of 20–30 cm, making them ideal for dense, low-profile displays.
• Visual impact: The vibrant orange flowers provide a deep, saturated color that stands out in any garden composition.
• Typical application: Designed primarily for edging, border formations, and container gardening where compact, uniform growth is required.

«Orange Carpet» is a reliable choice for professional landscapers who require predictable results. Its inherent genetic stability ensures excellent survival rates and abundant flowering. When planted densely, the variety creates a stunning, carpet-like effect, fully living up to its name and providing a polished look for flower beds and borders alike.
