The 'Ethiopka' beetroot variety, offered by Agro-Firma Poisk, is a mid-late maturing crop that has established itself as a reliable staple for vegetable growers. With a vegetation period of 110–120 days, it is specifically targeted at producers and gardeners who prioritize winter storage capability.

Why choose 'Ethiopka'?

• Storage Potential: The defining characteristic of this variety is its exceptional storage life. 'Ethiopka' retains its density and structural integrity for months, making it a favorite for those aiming to keep fresh produce in cellars well into the spring.
• Uniformity: The rounded, uniform shape of the roots simplifies packaging and sorting, ensuring a consistent product for market presentation.
• Internal Quality: The deep dark-red flesh, featuring clear ring patterns, provides the rich color intensity essential for traditional culinary applications, such as soups or salads.

The variety benefits from a robust international genetic background, with breeding roots extending through Hungary, France, Cyprus, and New Zealand. This diversity contributes to its resilience against common horticultural stresses and ensures stable performance under varied conditions.

Who is this variety for?

If you are looking for a variety that balances low-maintenance cultivation with high-value output, 'Ethiopka' is an excellent candidate. It does not require extreme horticultural interventions, though timely harvesting is crucial; leaving the roots in the ground past their peak maturity can affect texture. For those who supply winter markets or seek a dependable stock for personal use, this variety from Agro-Firma Poisk remains a proven and trusted option.
