Description NEMYUGYUNSKY
Nemyugyunsky (White Lupine) is a lupine variety developed through multiple rounds of mass and individual selection from the wild population in the Kirov Region. The plant reaches a height of 120–180 cm, has a foliage coverage of 30–50%, and a vegetation period of 95–105 days. Thanks to breeding work, it is characterized by high winter hardiness: it withstands low temperatures down to –55…–60 °C and is drought-resistant, making it suitable for cultivation on a wide range of soils, including saline ones.

The variety is characterized by good yields both of green mass (160–200 c/ha) and seeds (3–4 c/ha). Raw protein content is 17–27%, Vitamin C is 104 mg, and carotene is 32 mg. Despite high productivity, Nemyugyunsky remains weakly resistant to powdery mildew.

Nemyugyunsky is widely used in agriculture as a cover crop and feed plant. Its application contributes to improving soil structure, increasing its fertility, and reducing erosion. Moreover, due to its high vitamin and carotene content, it is valuable for livestock feed. In medicine, lupine is used for its expectorant, anti-inflammatory, and antiseptic properties, as well as as a source of essential oils and flavonoids used in the perfume industry.
