Beet variety 'Winner' is a late-maturing Ukrainian variety intended for autumn-winter storage and feeding of livestock. This variety forms large, elongated roots weighing 4-7 kg and 25-35 cm in length, with an intense orange skin and light, creamy or light-orange flesh. Due to its high dry matter content and excellent storability, 'Winner' provides high yields up to 120 tons per hectare and maintains quality well during storage.
Growing 'Winner' beet is recommended in open ground, sown in April-May when soil temperature is not lower than +6 degrees Celsius. After emergence, soil is loosened in rows to a depth of 5-6 cm, and if plant development is weak, fertilization is applied at the 3-4 leaf stage. Moderate watering during the growing season, followed by soil loosening to a depth of 10-12 cm, is required. High efficiency is also achieved with winter sowing.
The variety is characterized by high resistance to diseases, particularly rot and rust, which contributes to stable yields and product quality. 'Winner' beet is easy to harvest and is an important component of animal rations due to its vitamin and mineral content beneficial for animal health. The variety is produced by 'Flora Market' in Ukraine and is adapted to various climatic conditions, making it a universal and reliable choice for farmers.
